Money is the Root Article
26Jan12
This article at Money is the Root has just helped me with my understanding of life insurance cover and in particular what kind of insurance policies are appropriate for me at this stage in my life. It has changed how i look at life insurance coverage, and has convinced me once and for all that i need a life insurance policy. Even though the circumstances in your life are inevitably different to mine right now, the piece will aid you in choosing the right insurance policy for your needs. This is helpful if you’re now in my position where you’ve decided you want life insurance cover, but aren’t quite sure about the various options on offer.
The article firstly talks through the influence that personal situations have on the type of policy you should look for. For older people over 50 life insurance is perfect because it is designed for those people who have already lived a high proportion of their lives. On top of this, it highlights the differences between permanent and term life insurance, which is very useful as it will have a major impact on the size of the insurance rates you pay.

A Sad Split
23Jan12
I've always liked Heidi Klum and Seal as a couple, they're so perfect together, so it's quite sad to hear that they're calling it quits!
I should be doing my Adizar search not blogging about celebrity news but this is one that really got my interest.
I always thought that their love story was really cute, they got together in 2004 when Heidi was already pregnant with Formula One playboy Flavio Briatore's baby. They stayed together and Seal was with her for the child's birth, Heidi announced Seal as the father of her new daughter, over Flavio.
They married in 2005 and have since had three children together, two boys and a girl, the youngest of them born in 2009. They've always had quite a romantic relationship, taking trips together as a couple and renewing their vows every year on their anniversary with their friends and family.
It's sad to see them split when they have seemed to have such a lovely and romantic relationship and have such young children.

Photo: TumblrHow I spent my weekend

I went up to spend some time with my new romantic interest this weekend, and I actually met the family, which was unexpected and a bit scary!
They were absolutely lovely though, his mum was really like my mum so we got on really well from the off. It wasn't like a big 'meet the family' event his mum and brother and sister just popped around to say hello and to meet me. He warned me first though and checked I was okay with meeting them, it wasn't an ambush or anything!
His sister's very sweet, and his little brother is absolutely gorgeous! He's only 10 and is such a little cutie. He'd left some lego star wars sets at the flat that the two of them had been working on, and so I sat with him for a bit helping him build a deathstar or something, organise and colour co-ordinate the blocks, all the while we were talking about our favourite Star Wars films and the best moments and stuff.
It was a nice weekend, I think our two families would get along, though I'm not going to get ahead of myself!

16Nov11
Oliver Twist is riddled with symbolism, usually representing good versus evil, with evil continuously trying to exploit and corrupt good, but good winning eventually. It is impossible not to notice the satannic characteristics that Fagin is endowed with. When he first appears in the book, he appears standing over a fire holding a toasting fork, and on the night of his execution, he refuses to pray. A motif that proliferates throughout the novel is that of obesity, which highlights the injustice of Oliver Twist’s London. The men who punish the half-starved Oliver when he asks for more food are all fat as are most of the evil characters in the novel.
Another symbol that proliferates throughout the end of the novel is that of knowing eyes. For the majority of his ill-doing life, Fagin has avoided open spaces and daylight, keeping himself hidden away in his dark lair. When Fagin is finally caught and stands on the dock awaiting his sentence, he squirms uncomfortably in the “living light” of too many eyes. When Sikes flees after murdering Nancy he cannot remove the image of her dead eyes from his mind. Sikes’ time runs out eventually, though he had no herrenuhren to tell him the exact hour.

Ok so it's cold. And in this country the weather is generally always bad. But who says you can't have a garden party in winter in this country?
Sounds like no fun at all? Well think again!
There is nothing more fun than a winter bbq, you can roast winter vegetables on the BBQ, and have hot spicey broth to keep warm. Plus sparklers and your best fingerless gloves, mulled wine, winter garden parties are fabulous fun!
You will need:
Raincoats and unbrella's - preferably Wellington Boots as well.
LED spotlights for the garden, or maybe some fairy lights.
Woolly hats and scarves.
Mulled wine and hot toddies a plenty!
Some great outdoor winter cooking recipes, fresh fish.
Ever eating BBQ's sprouts with wallnuts?
Think out side of the box this winter, and don't let the weather get you down.
